We understand that healing does not only occur when an individual is in a therapeutic relationship with a counsellor.
There are other ways in which people experience healing from trauma. One of them being the experience of belonging to a group, in which they feel safe and trust each other to share their lives and achieve something together.
Our team responds to the community needs and develops activities that can be done in a group to promote that sense of belonging, safety and trust.
We listen to the needs of women, their ideas, and their desire to gather, and we aim to respond and empower them to develop their own groups, supported by our team of counsellors, to create an environment of healing and mutual encouragement.
Women may form groups that gather to learn craft, sewing, jewellery making, cooking, dancing, doing art, singing, telling stories, and other activities.
Contact us if you want to participate of a current group, if you want to start a group in your community, or if you need more information about how community groups can be formed in your own language.
